Tori Shelton, LPC_IT

 

Tori is a Licensed Professional Counselor In-Training and a recent graduate from The University of Wisconsin Parkside with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Her area’s of interest are anxiety disorders, mood disorders, adjustment disorders, emotional regulation, individuals who struggle with the transition into parenthood, trauma and more. She has experience in in-patient treatment and has run several groups through The Department of Corrections prior to starting private practice.

 

Tori’s approach to therapy is individualized to each and every client. She uses various modalities of treatment to assist client’s in thriving in their own lives. Some of these modalities include but are not limited Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic Approaches, and Person centered. Tori believes clients know themselves best. Her treatment approaches revolve around being non-judgmental, showing unconditional positive regard, and collaboration with her clients. She hopes to create a safe space to explore ways for clients to enhance their skills and build a life worth living.
