Beth Mentink, MS-Student Intern

 

Beth has her Master's Degree in Education and School Counseling. She is currently completing her hours to earn her LPC-IT. She has over 10 years of experience working as an elementary school teacher and school counselor. Additionally, she worked in a day treatment program for children and adolescents and as a case manager for children adn families in foster care. 

 

While she completes her practicum and internship hours, Beth will be surpervised by Ann Fleming, LCSW.  

 

Her areas of clinical interest include ADHD, depression, anxiety, and trauma responses. She is especially interested in working with children who have experienced trauma. Beth uses play therapy to connect with children and to process and to process complicated topics in a more child-friendly way.  Additionally, she practices from a strengths-based perspective, using mindfulness and CBT techniques to empower her clients.
